"All Hands" Reunion - April 1-3, 2011
The details of the reunion are now finalized
and it's time to start making plans to visit that
place that created such special memories in your lives.

Attendees will arrive at Chase
Field officers club
where they will receive an engaging presentation from the
Texas Department of Criminal Justice Warden, Robert Eason.

Arrive at Operations bldg and
disembark busses. A T-45 from NAS Kingsville will salute
the sailors of Chase Field with a flight
demonstration. |

Return attendees to Best Western Motel |

Attendees will be on their own to
have lunch,
rest, take a look around town, whatever. |

Returning to the base in
their own vehicles, attendees will be given guided
tours of Sikorsky helicopters
international repair facility. They now occupy the old VT 24 &
25 hangers and are working on expanding into the
new
VT 26 hanger. |

A Sikorsky Blackhawk
will put
on a brief flight demonstration -
This event is not confirmed and will be
based on Sikorsky's schedule at the time. |

"ALL HANDS" Reception-
Attendees will reunite on the base, where both new and old
friends will share stories of time long ago. Soft drinks, Ice tea and water will be provided.
(unfortunately, alcohol will not be
provided at the reception/BBQ. (Seems there have been 2
previous events at the base wherein alcohol was served and post
event accidents occurred and the BDA was sued, they are adamant about
eliminating that risk.) To help
sooth the "Got no Beer Blues," FREE beers will
be available to Chase Filed sailors at the VFW after the BBQ.
The event will be
serenaded by traditional sounds of Texas.
During the singing of the national anthem, a
Navy PT 17 and a Navy AT-6 will
do a flyby to salute all the sailors who served
at NAS Chase Field.
And, you never know, a few
skydivers just might drop in and join us.
Featured guest speakers; The Chief of Naval
Air Training, Rear Admiral William Sizemore
II and Capt Arnold Schmidt, VT 26
CO, 73-75 and base CO, 81-83
will share some of their anecdotes about Chase Field and the
celebration of 100 years of Naval Aviation. |

In the tradition of south Texas you'll be
treated to some of the best BBQ you'll eat in your life. Bo
Bowman and his world famous BBQ crew will prepare BBQ Brisket, Chicken
and Sausage, accompanied by a green salad, potato salad, corn on
the cob and red beans, all guaranteed to give your taste buds
the ride of their life. Followed up by scrumptious homemade
cobbler. Soft drinks, Ice Tea and water will also be available. |

Free Breakfast for attendees staying at the
Best Western Reunion concludes. Check out and return to life
once again out of the Navy. |

Tours of the Berclair
Mansion in Beeville and the aircraft carrier, USS Lexington, in
Corpus Christi are available for those who want to extend their
time in South Texas. These
tours are not included in the fee to attend the reunion.
** Aviation activities are subject to cancellation due to bad
weather. |
Reunion Cost
The cost to attend the reunion will be $85.00 per person which includes
everything motioned above. What the fee does not include is your
airfare, car rental, room cost, meals and the the tours of the Berclair
Mansion or the USS Lexington.
In order for
the reunion to become reality we
will need a minimum number of 65 paid attendees, (sailors + wives/girlfriends)
to be signed up, (paid ) before for the reunion can become reality. In
the event the minimum number of registered attendees has not recieved
within 30 days of the reunion, the reunion will be cancelled.
Print out the registration form shown
below, fill it out and mail it in along with your check at your earliest
convenience. Your check will not be deposited until the minimum number
of registrations are received. It's only at that time will your check be
deposited. The minimum number of registrations (65) must be
received by no later than March 31, 2011. Make your check out

91024. DO NOT MAKE AIRLINE
RESERVATIONS until we have met the minimum number
of registrations. Once we've met the minimum registrations you will
still have 30 days to make your plane reservations.
In the event of cancellation of the reunion we
don't want you to get stuck with tickets you can't get refunds for.
